Fall Open Studios Coming Up!

Join us for an exhibition and sale of inspiring art in the sunny, warm and charming Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco.  The event is free and everyone is welcome.

Opening Reception: Friday, October 19th – 6PM to 9PM
Saturday, October 20th – 11AM to 6PM
Sunday, October 21st – 11AM to 6PM

Nine member artists of the Graphic Arts Workshop will be displaying their diverse printmaking talents at this year’s Open Studios. They will be exhibiting and selling etchings, monoprints, woodcuts, engravings, lithographs and screen-prints.  From collectors’ items to hand-printed cards under $10, you are sure to find something inspiring and beautiful to your aesthetic. Enjoy the unique opportunity to meet the artists, discuss their work and learn about their personal approach to printmaking. Open Studios is the perfect opportunity to start or enhance your collection with one-of-a-kind and limited-edition works of art – or to get an early start on your holiday gift purchases!

Inked Surfaces at Diablo Valley College


Three Graphic Arts Workshop members - Sarah Newton, Timothy Smith, and Gail Morrison - have works in this National Juried Exhibition of Prints at Diablo Valley College. The show was juried by Kala Art Institute Executive Director, Archana Horsting.

The show opens on August 27, 2012, and runs through September 28, in the Diablo Valley College Art Gallery. Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday 11 to 4, Friday 11 to 3; open Wednesday til 7. There will be a reception on Saturday, September 8, 2012, from 3 to 6 p.m.

DVC is at 321 Golf Club Road in Pleasant Hill. The Gallery is Room A305 in the art complex. Admission to the gallery is free, but visitors must purchase a $3 parking permit from kiosks in the parking lots.

Member Show in Mill Valley

Come See Inspired Art!

Inspired by Birds to Be Shown Month of July 2012

GAW member Barbara Stikker's recent bird-related prints will be on show at the Mill Valley City Hall during the month of July.  The opening reception for "Inspired by Birds" will be part of the Mill Valley Tuesday Art Walk, Tuesday, July 3, from 6 to 8 pm.  There will be plenty of good art and wine!  The gallery is located at 26 Corte Madera Avenue in downtown Mill Valley, and is open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, closed alternate Fridays.

Spring Open Studio & Open House

Come to the exciting Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco and join us for our Spring Open Studio & Open House!

Saturday and Sunday, March 31 and April 1, 2012, from noon to 5 p.m. each day.

The Graphic Arts Workshop has been a hotbed of traditional fine art printmaking in San Francisco since 1952. We'll have lots of prints of all sorts on display and for sale, and we'll be creating more while you're here!

Gail Morrison at the Oakland Art Murmur

Gail Morrison will be showing a selection of etchings and insect prints at the Oakland Art Murmur this Friday evening, March 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. at 448 25th Street, #B. It's set a little back from the street, on 25th between Telegraph and Broadway. This is a very lively block, with several galleries and many artists. Click Oakland Art Murmur for general info.
